The cycles of day and night flow together in ever increasing flow, the vibrations of night and day dance in a undulating way pulling closer to a flip flop. I feel a great sense of speed and excitement as the year progresses. I have many new works in order and have an idea for a new series of paintings based on crop circles. The process of drawing all the circles will reveal much, the colors and patterns that emerge from the paintings should be most interesting! I do hope you enjoy the new series.

I feel this is one of the best photos I have created. It really captures the feeling of energy in the light. And the curiosity of two young spirits. I took this photo with an old 1G iPhone my brother gave to me, then edited it with photoshop's free iPhone App. I am writing this message on a free blogger app and posting it via my friend Zack's WiFi. Painting Restoration and Photo Restoration

This week I had 2 really interesting projects. The first came from my friends Zach and Peter from Cantastiks They make these really cool lamps from recycled cans. I wanted one of there big lamps that are over $200 so I thought one day I would do something to trade out with them. The other day Peter shows me the painting of his grandmother and asks if I can restore it the way I was restoring photos.

This painting is in bad shape, painted in 1947 It had seen better days. I took a photo of the painting and started work in Photoshop and Painter. I am very happy with the results as is Peter.

My second project for the week comes from the Big Picture here in Las Cruces. It was also a big challenge as it is a photo from the 70's that is really faded and had some funky goop on it that they did back in the day. What a challenge I had to smooth out the skin tone and bring back the color. This one was a big challenge. The results are amazing I played with the Curves in photoshop to tweak the color and restore the tone. Lots and lots of layers of tweaking to get it just right.

Paragliding, The feeling of being free as a bird.

Saturday started out bright and exciting. I had a cup of coffee and waited for Lee Baker to show up so we could ride down to El Paso to meet Hadley our Paragliding instructor. Hadley is 61 years old and started flying paragliders when he turned 55. With over 1000 flights under his wings, Had is a great instructor, with a Saftey first attitude.

Lee had the first flight of the day. The winds were nice and consistiant blowing from the West at about 10 mph. Launching a Paraglider under tow is an interesting experiance. You have this force pulling on you from the tow line and when it gets strong enough that you can no longer hold it back you run like the wind and the wing comes up over head. Running as fast as you can the wing starts to lift you off the ground your feet running in the wind. The sensation is out of this world. It is like going on the up swing of a large rope swing and just keep going up.

When it comes time to release you feel the peace and beauty that surounds you. The view from up in the wing is like nothing else. You have a free view of the world like a bird views it.

Next up it was my turn.

Hold back the pressure....

As I take off the Wing starts to turn to the left. The Flight is Aborted and I am must land. You can see in this photo the dip in the wing on the left side. This was caused by a Stick that got picked up by the lines as the wing inflated. I was able to land safely and Fly again.

Next Flight was Better for Me I got some really good altitude but when turning the wing I had some issues. The wing I normally fly with is more responsive and I was not leaning enough or putting in enough break inputs. So I landed down wind. Not the best thing to do as you are hauling ass and it is like trying to run off the ground. Luckily I was able to keep the wing off the ground long enough to slow down and land softly.

Yesterday I told a story to a friend of mine from a book I read back in college by Tony Hillerman. The thought occured to me that I would really enjoy to read more of his work. Today I went to get a glass of iced tea and saw a bag with some books in it and one of them was out enough for me to read the title of it, "Talking God" by Tony Hillerman. I opend the bag and there lay 5 Tony Hillerman books. My step dad picked them up when he went down to help one of the neighbors move some stuff for the Park Garage sale. He decided to bring the bag of books home for no reason.

A Spiritual Experience at Baylor Pass

Walking in touch with the desert I start to feel the connection with everything. I look around with eyes of wonder at this beautiful landscape that swallows me with magnificent views. The sky feels like it goes on forever. Silence is offset now and then with the breath of a thermal inhaling on its path to equilibrium. A never ending flow that is reflected in our own life's as we are drawn to the Vortex of Positive energy. Being in this place resonates with my soul.

I went in to see what I could trade out so I could do some Large Giclee Prints on Canvas for my Dream Car Series. See the world more beautiful

I have seen many images in my life. Some I have taken the time to record in the form of a photograph or a painting. Each image I take really gives me the way to see the world more beautiful. When we take the time to see the world more beautiful the world around you becomes more beautiful.

As I continue on my path as an Artist I am exploring the spiritual side of life as my point of view. Looking at the world as the majestic vibration of energy formed in a way that my body harmonizes with the vibrations creating a reality that I am free to explore. I have chosen to take to the air and fly like a bird.

These are the first photos of me flying a paraglider. I have reached my P1 rating having 5 flights and have flown once from the rim of a extinct volcano. I am looking forward to the freedom of viewing the world from 14,000 feet siting in a harness attached to a formed piece of fabric. I think this time aloft will be some of the best meditative times of my life. I plan on sharing my new view of the world with everyone through my images. Thank you for taking the time to think about seeing the world more beautiful.

The month of October in Arkansas 2009 has had the most rain this wet state has seen in a long time. The other night Uncle Jim and I were getting ready to leave Ron's house and head back to the motor coach for the night. Ron said just cut across the yard so you don't have to turn the trailer around in the dark. Well 3 days later it stopped raining and we were finally able to pull the truck out of the yard.

Spent a few hours sorting things in the bus now have more room and systems are starting to come together.

I have a love for flying. I dream a lot about flying and recently I was introduced to PPG powered paragliding. This is an interesting sport and the best way to get into flying. The motor provides thrust and the parachute provides lift. There are many form factors this ppg can take and it is interesting to me for a second reason. The vehicle I am working on started out as an idea and is starting to manifest in the way of drawings and concepts. I dream about this vehicle all the time I call it the TeraZetta. It is a reverse trike that leans over in the turns. I am now thinking of adding a prop and making it fly...

I left for a trip to Arkansas with my Uncle Jim Strader. We had a nice trip up to Arkansas and are now enjoying some time working on a few projects with Ron Davis. I pulled my imac out of the box when I got here and now she wont boot up. So I have to get that fixed soon. I have some good ideas for some new paintings. My Big Toe is the book I am currently reading and it has helped me to see how our information system is growing to mirror the system of consciousness. I will be here in Arkansas until we have the Bus ready. Our first stop is Texas. Then on to New Mexico...

It is interesting designing for a client that has a product or service that is normaly not a fun product, such as the case of Landmark Healthcare. They have home medical supplies not the most fun subject for most people. I wanted to make it look very inviting and beautiful so to people would go to their website. They had LandmarkHealthcarellc.com which is way tooo long and Tommy and I came up with EasyHomeMed.com

This is the part of my job I really enjoy creating something beautiful. We are wrapping two sprinter vans like the one pictured here. I will post the pictures of the Sprinter after we install it. Thanks for reading my thoughts.

All coming together 2009

There comes a time when the many things one is working on, dreaming of, and planning for starts to come together. It is such a good feeling when all the effort of many years starts to pay off. I started this Blog at a time in my life when I was confused and had no idea where I was going.
This new year 2009 is a fantastic time to be alive. I have a great job as Creative Director at 360 Wraps. This job is a real joy I wake up every day excited to go to work. Every client is new and different and creates new challenges. Vehicle wraps are like product package design, the "box" is a vehicle. The world is now my canvas.
My fine art is going in the direction of my dreams. I am working with Ronn Motors the Creator of the Scorpion, to create a limited edition print for their first 200 limited production car. I am also working on the emblem for the car. I will share the results of the painting and the emblem when it is finished. The exciting thing is one of the prints is going to Arnold Schwarzenegger.

My other projects will unfold here and be shared here when the time is ready...

Strokers Dallas Trailer Wrap Installed

It was a lot of work masking out the four bikes for this wrap. Each bike took about 2 hours to mask. But the result is well worth the effort it took. I am very happy with the design and how the wrap came out. The skull on the back was a 4 inch high airbrushed item on the tail of one of the bikes. I took the photo and blew it up then digitaly painted over it in Photoshop to give it more depth. All in all it is a successful design.

Ferrari 250 work in progress

This is a new approach to painting for me. I am painting this all digitally, IE in the computer. It is done with a program called Painter which cost about $500 and gives me all the tools of traditional art. I have every brush and paint I can think of and each brush is fully customizable. It is really fun painting this way and with my wacom tablet which is a 9x12 inch table with a pen I can express my hand movements and the pressure sensitive table picks up my every move, translating it in to beautiful brush strokes.

I wanted to create something very warm and inviting a little more soft edged so that if felt like you will be pamperd if you walk in here. I like the colors and the eye movement caused by the placement of the swirls as well as the placement of color. The eye movement is very designed it helps point your eye to the inviting door of your spa. I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Designing the 360wraps Van

We have this cargo van that will sit out front of our shop and work as a large sign. I wanted something that you could read from 100 yards away and still be very interesting when you are up close to it. I painted the dragon and Lotus by hand using my wacom tablet. I am really enjoying painting in the computer. I will post more pictures after the van is wrapped.

A client came to me with the idea of a big mean truck that he is going to sell in Russia. Here is the design I did for the truck. We wrapped it at our Dallas shop. 360wrap.com This a partial wrap that uses the black of the truck as a base. This way it was much cheaper for the client and still has a very custom look and feel. From Old to New Mexico

I have been in Mexico now for a little over one month. I have found many interesting visual things about Old Mexico. I am inspired by the amount of texture and color down here the lines both vertical and horizontal are everywhere from the bars on all the windows and doors to the flat top roofs and zero property line building. I feel free down here but not the same freedom I feel in the states. For one thing I do not speak spanish this makes it a little more difficult. I do understand quite a bit more spanish now then when I first came down. I decided to go back up to New Mexico as It will help me to make contacts for my work. I am looking forward to all the new friends I will meet in Las Cruces New Mexico.

The light there in Las Cruces is amazing I love the way the air feels and the views of the desert are very beautiful. I know this time I will spend there will reflect back in my work. There are many artists that I will meet and glean from them inspiration for my own work.

Well tonight I take the bus up to Tucson where I will catch a different bus to Las Cruces. The trip from Los Mochis to Tucson leaves at 7 pm and gets to Tucson at 8 am the next day. This is where I am happy and grateful for my ipod. Right now I am listening to a Centerpointe talk by Bill Harris, very mind opening. Moved to Mexico

OK I moved to Mexico and had my new imac 24 shipped down to me. I did not know at the time that Mexico charges 20% to import something. So my brother FedEx the computer down to me and put $2,500 insurance on it to cover it. Well the 20% cost me an extra $500. I am excited anyway to get it down here. I only had a few days to play with it before I moved. I also got a nice big wacom tablet so now I can paint digitally. This new tool is very cool to explore. It captures my brush strokes digitally and displays them on the screen. It felt a bit detached at first to paint this way but I really enjoy the 800 brushes Painter X comes with. I can see how this new tool is going to let me explore ideas I never would have before.

Sixty Years of Ferrari!
I am painting 60 Ferrari Crests one for each year Ferrari has been around. Then Each year I will paint one more as part of my Life series of Ferrari. I started off this painting by giving the 1st one away at the Boardwalk Ferrari´s introduction of the new 2008 F430 Scuderia. The event was a great success for a rainy night in Dallas over 60 people showed up and 33 people signed up to win this painting. I am happy to annouce that Aldo Drefice won the first painting in the series.

These paintings are for sale at $2,500 each if you would like one I will customize it to your color scheme or you can pick from one of the ones I have already done.

Tonight we head for the Airport LAX to take Grandma and Zucilia my wife for their flights. Grandma is flying to Los Cruces to be with her daughter my mom and Zucilia is flying to her Home in Los Mochis Mex to see her dr. and see some of her clients. Right now she is in the kitchen of the Heatherwood house. Enjoying the company of our friends from accross the street. Chris and her husband Aaron and Chris's sis Cherry. As this time comes to an end. I see the great progress I have made sence I first started this blog. I am in awe of the places that I am going and how the path is a reflection of my thoughts in this blog. I have decide the next chapter in my life is written in advance so that I am living from Insperation instead of living from memory. I have come to the point where I am now working on my book "Reflections of Thought" an introspective on my quest for beauty and to make my surroundings vibrate to the tune of my intersource.

I am reading a new book called Zero Limits by Dr. JOE Vitele I think that is how you spell his name. I am also reading the Millionare Mindset. I am practicing Holosync. I am writting in my Hearts Desire book every day. With this meditation the flow of ideas is almost overwhelming. I have such a flow of creativity rushing over me. Today I finished the site for my brother 360wraps.com This site just flowed from me. I have no idea how long it took to do as I was in such a focus that time stopped in my perception. My new site is vincentstrader.com The redesign has helped me in getting focused on my bigger dreams. Every day things are coming in to focus more. Wow yet again I am amazed at what I find when I follow my insides out. Recently I was in New Mexico at my mothers house helping my step father move from California. They sold there house and move to my mom's favorite place Los Cruces.

Ferrari 612 Painting update and ideas on marketing

This is a current shot of the Ferrari 612 I am painting. This commission has taken much time and got put aside as I figured out some difficulties in my life. Now with that behind me and my head down and tail feathers up I am progressing nicely on the painting. I have much left to do the background has yet to come to me. I like to work on the subject in this case the car and the background comes to me as a flash of inspiration.

I am using my isight cam to record all the painting so it is going to be fun to watch when the painting is all done. I had the idea to promote my work by recording the process over the years to come I will have a large collection of video that I can then put into a DVD and it will be great material later for my Movie. With sites like youtube It gives me the ability to broadcast my work to millions Some day I see my work being viewed all around the world.

Time for an update.

Well I am doing well. My time I spent the last year drawing and working on my art is paying off. I feel really good about how things are progressing. I just finished this drawing of my daughter for her birthday. I have not seen her sence she left with my wife a few years ago. I miss her so much and think about her all the time. I don't have any direct contact with her so I decided to communicate with her the only way I know how through my art. I am drawing pictures for her so she can see how much I love her. One of her favorite animals is the Geraffe, I am going to study the Geraffe and draw pictures and studies and eventualy paintings I think i may work on drawing pictures of her with a geraffe. Oh well I know that one day soon I will be reunited with my daughter and these drawings will be a link between us.

I am pushing myself to draw more, I know that it is a never ending journy of learning. I am really enjoying the journey and doing each drawing the best i can at this time. I know over time I will improve I am working on getting closer to drawing from the images in my head. It is like things are still slightly out of focius the more i study the clearer things become.

Local driver Strader happy he's officially Star struck

Star-Telegram Staff Writer

Local racer Tommy Strader is convinced he has the ability to become a motorsports star.

Enter Star Motorsports, which will give Strader an opportunity to prove himself in 2006, when the Keller resident will compete in the United Speed Alliance Racing Hooters ProCup Series, with an eye on NASCAR.

"I can't hardly sleep at night because of this," said Strader, 31, admittedly an unlikely developmental candidate considering his age and the fact he did not compete in an organized racing series in 2005.

"I raced a Thunder Roadster for the first time at Texas Motor Speedway about a month ago and won the race," said Strader, who competed in Legends Cars at TMS from 2002-04. "I was so excited to be back in a car. I always felt I had the ability; I just didn't have the opportunity."

Actually, both Strader and start-up Star Motorsports are out to make names for themselves next season. Founded in 2004 by West Hollywood, Calif.-based attorney Sean W. Holley, Star Motorsports Inc. has announced plans to compete in NASCAR in '06. Holley announced Sept. 4 that Star Motorsports, in partnership with the comedic Wayans Brothers, planned to field a team in NASCAR's top series.

"What we're shooting for is [Nextel] Cup," Holley said from Orlando, Fla., where he spent most of the weekend courting potential sponsors, manufacturers and vendors during the 18th annual PRI Trade Show.

Holley, who is black, is a proponent of NASCAR's Drive for Diversity initiative. He said an announcement concerning Star's NASCAR plans will be made this month. The team will be housed in Mooresville, N.C. Holley, Star's president/CEO, is primary owner of an organization he said includes an extensive list of professional athletes, sports and entertainment executives and music and film personalities.

"They're all serious about being involved in motorsports and fostering this program along," said Holley, 43. "But we're not a team that's built on diversity. We're a solid, competitive, motorsports team. That's why we're not just looking at minority drivers.

"We're about creating more exposure for the sport and opportunities for those who might not have had opportunities in the past. That has no limit or focus based on ethnic background."

Strader's teammate in the USAR Hooters ProCup Series will be 16-year-old Chase Austin, the so-called "Tiger Woods of NASCAR." Holley said both Strader and Austin, formerly of Hendrick Motorsports, have been signed to multi-year contracts.

"My goal is to be in [NASCAR] Craftsman Truck in 2007, if there's no setbacks," Strader said. "My other goal is to be in a Truck for next November's race [at TMS]."

Strader approached Holley after learning about the Wayans Brothers' involvement with Star Motorsports on Speed Channel's NASCAR Nation. A graphic artist by trade, Strader presented Holley with renderings of race cars and offered to help with the image representation of the company in return for a driving opportunity.

Holley said his "due diligence" on Strader included a test in a Late Model stock car in North Carolina.

"He's very much a go-getter, self-starter, self-promoter. He understands the whole business," Holley said of Strader, a native of Oceanside, Calif., who has resided in the Fort Worth area for six years. "I think the world of Tommy. He's been important to Star Motorsports already, and I look forward to putting him into position to have him maximize his potential as a racer."

today Tommy, my bro, and I moved my aunt Neda into her new apartment. We wore our selfs out moving all her stuff in to her tiny apartment. she left a space in my grandmothers house her old room is now my new Art Studio. It feels really good to have a place to work on my painting. I also moved my computer in this room so now i have a creative center. I belive i will be much more creative having a place i can focus on my art with out having to put everything away to be able to walk about. I am still just at the very begening of my path to becoming a famous artist. I worked on 5 diffrent paintings today. I realize that i need to focus much more of my time on painting and drawing. I am going to build a drafting table so i can get back to some of the technical aspects of drawing that i enjoy.

took some time off from the computer. I just started my new job at Action Hobbies
